The Band.

May 2nd, 2008

I’ve been pretty busy as of late. And the kind of busy that I like. None of this spread out, all over the place, busy. But a very focused sort of busy. My band has been busy with various gigs, winning Battle of the Bands, playing coffee houses, and traveling a bit. It’s fun. But we’ve made a little demo. Check it out! Please!

opening day!

Randomness.

January 24th, 2008

I’ve been tagged.

1. I really like the mullet/fohawk hairstyle.

2. “Sabrina” makes me wish I could speak French.

3. When I was in Morocco I rode on a camel with Leslie Haller. (Hadn’t thought about it until recently when someone asked me if I’d rather ride a camel or an elephant!)

4. I love Biscotti dipped in strong coffee! Totally fab.

5. I LOVE The Count of Monte Cristo (Book and movie).

6. I’ve never seen the Niagara Falls.

7. I adore Sting’s song, “I’m An English Man In New York”

Maybe later I’ll be resourceful and find people to tag!

Fallen Tree

January 17th, 2008

Check this out!

One of our grand trees out back fell down last week in a terrible wind storm. Merrick kept telling his favorite corny joke of the day, “It’s a Windsday! It’s a Windsday guys!” (And it really was a Windy Wednesday!)

I finally got some footage up from our concert @ Kingston Theater.
This one’s called “Don’t Forget To Love”

And this one is, “Lone Hour”

I hate the fact that internet explorer moves the links on the upper left hand corner of my site, to the lower left hand corner. I’m glad I’m not a webdesigner, cause making sure my site looks good on all web browsers would drive me mad!

Snow Day!

December 16th, 2007

Snow day = family day!

*edit*

Snow day also means I’m listening to Keane.

White Christmas

December 5th, 2007

I love the movie “White Christmas”! One of the best Christmas movies ever! Although, I must say, it does not need to be put in the strictly “Christmas” category. As Daniel and Brietta already know - I watch it all year round. Not because I’m hoping that Christmas will come sooner - or that I’m in a christmasy mood, but because it’s pure entertainment! There’s great dancing, humor, actors/actresses, singing, and more! Why don’t they make movies like this one anymore? I feel the same way about Singing In the Rain! Simply wonderful!

It’s a lovely evening in the Sinclair home! There’s a room full of people enjoying the pure entertainment of “White Christmas”, probably also enjoying the candlelit room, the Scotch pine tree, and all their compadres.

The Nativity Story

December 4th, 2007

We watched this film last night. I’d heard numerous opinions about this movie. Just so everyone knows, this is my opinion: It was very good.

The Julia Marie Band had a great time at Kingston Theater! We’ll be playing a lot more this year - so we’ll try to keep our events page properly updated!

Coming right up…

November 26th, 2007

Please join me and the band while we play in Kingston Theater, this Friday at 8:30 pm!
